Flemish Twist Strings
For those that are interested in having a go at making your own string. Flemish Strings are traditionally used on Longbows.

​You can buy a string board from an archery shop or you can have a go at making your own using the blueprint below.
Making An Endless Loop String
An endless loop string is the one that is more commonly used and found on most recurves.

String Jig (There is one available in the clubhouse)

Novices may want to try making a string with a single colour first but you can have a go at making a two coloured string if you are feeling brave. For those that want a real challenge, there is a video for a 3 coloured string.
Serving A Bow String
This is a fiddly process that might require a few practices before you get it right.

Putting a nocking point on your string is a quick and easy job and a useful thing to be able to do.
