Thanet Archery Club Membership

Becoming a Member

 

You must have completed a recognised beginners course before you can join the club. We run beginners courses 2 - 3 times a year, if you are interested in taking up archery please see the Beginner's Course page. 

 

We have several categories of membership:

  • Standard membership (senior & junior):- Full shooting members of the club, may shoot at any time during daylight as long as they are accompanied.

  • Associate membership (senior & junior):- Shooting members of the club with no annual fee, but target fees must be paid each time you shoot.

  • Social membership:- non-shooting with no fee - you do not need to complete a beginners' course but you should abide by the clubs safety rules.

    All members must sign in when they visit.

 

Membership renewal due on 1st April each year.

 

 

Membership Fees

 

There is one fee per member which covers membership, insurance & target fees. Full payment is preferred but quarterly standing orders accepted if necessary.
 

Unlimited shooting membership - Members may shoot as many times as they like at any time of the year, any time of the week in daylight hours.

Senior - £65 (may be paid in full or £16.25/quarter by s/o).
Junior - £30 (may be paid in full or £7.50/quarter by s/o).

Associate -  No annual fee, but target fees must be paid each time you shoot (£5 senior/£2.50 junior).

Concessions

There is a 10% concessionary rate for those who are registered disabled. Proof of registration required.

Senior disabled - £58.50 (may be paid in full or £14.62/quarter by s/o).
Junior - £27 (may be paid in full or £6.75/quarter by s/o).

​​Shooting Fees (Indoor Shooting Only)​

​

During the winter season (November - March), we shoot indoors at Ursuline College in Birchington. There is a shooting fee that must be paid each time you shoot indoors:

Indoor Senior - £4.00

Indoor Junior - £2.00

​

This can be done via cash or contactless payment.

Junior Members

 

The Thanet Archery Club Constitution states that juniors shall be accepted from the age of ten years. If younger than twelve years it will be a condition of membership that (a) either their parents or parent are shooting members or (b) the committee will use its discretion for acceptance of membership.
