The clout was organised by Richard & Viv Clark this year, it got off to a slow start and about a month ago they were thinking of cancelling due to lack of entries. But then it gained momentum and ended up with 57 entries.
Marking out the field was hard work as the grass had to be cut first before the marking out could be completed. My thanks go to Tony G, Adrian Foad and Bob and to Gary Blake for letting us use the field, Polar helicopters for the loan of their sit-on mower as ours was not up to the task and packed up on us halfway through. Our thanks also go to the judge, Mark Davis, for keeping an eye on us all and the weather, and our Lady Paramount, Sally Dixon.
It took a little longer to get the results out at the end but a learning curve for next year. The results are now out and on the website, well done to all who participated.
Next year we need to arrange portaloos and decide what to do about food. Our thanks also go to Peter Tugwell & John Holton for taking the photos and Gary Blake for taking Arial photos and these will be on the website soon. The Winner of the Watkins Cup was Terry Stevens, well done! The Green Man was won by Will Crane and both of these will be presented at the AGM. The junior medal was won by Krum Karov, SCCA.
