NOTICEBOARD

Every year, the longbow and barebow archers have a Frostbite competition with Folkestone and Canterbury Archery Club.

Each month throughout the winter season, archers put forward their best score. These are collated to show the best club and best archers.

This year it was Thanet's turn to pick the charity and host the presentation shoot. Money raised this year went to East Kent Independant Dementia Support.

The three clubs met at Thanet this morning for the last Frostbite of the year and the presentation shoot. Folkestone came 1st for the second year running, Canterbury came 2nd and Thanet was 3rd. :(

Congratulations to Bob, Dave, Barry, Jim, Linda, Ryan, Lorraine and Alice who all won medals in their respected categories.

Hi all, Just to let you know that it's that time again for membership renewal, due by the end of March. As you'll be aware the fee structure is a little different this year with membership, insurance and target fees rolled into one.

We have several categories of membership: Standard membership (senior & junior):- Full shooting members of the club unaffiliated to other archery organisations (may opt for unlimited shooting or 25-shoot membership). Associate membership (senior & junior):- Full shooting members of the club, but having paid membership of archery organisations such as Archery GB (AGB), NFAS or BLBS so not required to pay the insurance component of the club fee, (may opt for unlimited shooting or 25-shoot membership).

Membership Fees There is one fee per member which covers membership, insurance* & target fees. To help the club with budgeting/finance, if you can make full payment up-front that would be preferred, but monthly standing orders are an option if you need to spread the cost. Membership fees below £36/yr should be paid in full, unless paying for multiple family members with one S/O. *Associate members exempted, hence the lower fees. If you have no proven Archery GB, NFAS, or BLBS membership then you will need to pay for Standard Club membership.

Unlimited shooting membership Standard Senior Unlimited - £96 (may be paid in full or £8/month by s/o). Standard Junior Unlimited - £48 (may be paid in full or £4/month by s/o). Associate Senior Unlimited - £72 (may be paid in full or £6/month by s/o). Associate Junior Unlimited - £36 (may be paid in full or £3/month by s/o). You may shoot as many times as you like at any time of the year, any time of the week, but must sign in whenever they shoot.

On Sunday the 2nd of April, we'll be holding the Winter Longbow and Barebow presentation for those that took part. We will be welcoming the Folkestone and Canterbury participants, so we would like as many that are able to come along and meet them. To give them time to get over to us, we'll be starting half an hour later than a normal club shoot, so arrive at 10 for a 10:30 am start.

We will have a frostbite shoot and then the overall winners will be announced, hopefully, some of you may have been lucky enough to win, and then tea and cake.
